The stars speak of…
Opinions about this product were divided in such a proportion among the buyers.
Perfectly good gps watch on course with great hazard and overview features once you have learned how to access them. The shot tracking is very good though it has missed the odd off fairway recovery shot. The mobile app has a few eccentricities and isn’t great for editing after the round, but editing via desk top or browser is very easy and the subsequent data analysis is fantastic. Perfect for learning where improvements are most valuable.
This watch was recommended to me by a Professional. The battery life will do one day only to include 18 holes. Not sure it would manage 2 rounds on one charge. Performance wise it’s OK again but doesn’t always recognise varying tee positions ie Yellow vs White tees for a round. My putter is unable to accommodate the tag so I can’t do a full analysis of a round without manually entering how many putts I took. Needs a brighter screen as well. Lightweight and good quality strap.

Very cool kit.
Excellent product. Very slick software. Can’t wait to hit the course. Golf tags are perfect.

Software good. Sometimes takes a while to pic location up but seems happy enough once you get near the first tee. Used abroad a few times and no issues. Charging point very secure to the point you think is it stuck, but all good.

I don’t think I’m gonna keep it
Tried to post my first round and I can enjoy what this is supposed to offer. It’s stuck at 98% synching for a very long time and I have yet to be able to see my stats.

I bought this as a replacement for my V3 after its body cracked after a few years of use. I like using Shot Scope as they have large clear numbers which I can read without have to put on reading glasses and not use touch screens. The new V5 seems more robust than previous models with better quality materials, and looks like a watch and not a brick on your wrist, this one records your steps as well as golf data. Cant fault it so far.

Jury is still out
Have tried to use this on the course several times and somehow lose a hole during the middle of the round. It is probably me and not the watch, but not sure. The yardages when it is reading the correct hole are very accurate. It is a nice looking watch and very comfortable.

Screen cracked on first use. Sent away to have fixed

Easy to use and set up, like the new features

Just as advertised
Great golf watch. Works perfectly. Easy to setup. Doesn’t rely on a phone during a round. Sometimes fails to download courses if your signal isn’t great though. This has become my daily instead of my Samsung Galaxy 5

GPS was spot on-just as good as Garmin
Only 1 round so far after setup. GPS was right on +/- a yard or two compared to Garmin and rangefinder. Definitely faster than getting out the rangefinder, had no problem reading the yardages in direct sunlight. Only used the GPS feature so. Instantly changed holes as I navigated the course. Can’t comment on battery life or club tracking yet.

Low quality
Feels cheap and buttons can take more effort to get a response Garmin products are much higher quality – pay once, cry once

Disappointing
Received my V5 on Saturday afternoon and promptly downloaded the Users Manual for review; took it to the course Sunday morning and powered up to obtain the satellite signal (intended to use GPS mode only for the first round) … and couldn’t even get past the menu telling me to “Connect to the App”. The only other menu selection apparently available was to Power Up or Power Down. That’s all the unit offered … connect to an app that has NOTHING to do with GPS tracking mode or turn it on or turn it off. Yeah, disappointing is the best that I can say right now!

Love the watch for golf!

Works well.
Course yardages and hole layout feature works great. In my opinion it’s much easier to use than a smartphone app or a rangefinder. The shot tracking doesn’t always work. I find myself having to correct the score that the watch calculates on a few holes every round. Also, if I find that my score isn’t correct at the end of the round, the editing process is a little cumbersome.

No brainer
This is the almost perfect golf watch, works great. No annual fees. Stats are amazing. The only issue I see is the charging port.

Tags not working on all clubs

Boyfriend wanted for help his golf game
I purchased nice clubs for him for Christmas and ever since he’s been into every gadget golf has to offer. He loves it, which I love! This was one of his gadget requests and he said it works very well. It’s made well. He believes it to be a good value for the cost.

Well made and what you would expect from shot scope unfortunately mine didn’t have working instructions in the box a bit of a nuisance 8/10

Found it a bit to complicated ,only used it a couple of rounds, each time it froze and then had trouble getting on the next hole , also found tags not always working.

Its a reasonably good golf watch
Do need to know some useful tips to learn to work with it. For example, need to tap the watch with the RFID tag for it to find the right club sometimes. The charging cord annoys me most as it won’t attach to the watch properly. Other than these inconvenience, the watch works very well.

I do like the sensors they work really well, I already have a similar watch with sensor technology and there pro and cons for both. Its battery life isn’t a patch on my other gamer as it didn’t last two full rounds, so I would definitely recommend changing up before each round. I did find that adjusting your score card a little mind blowing too! It’s a good product at a great price and the sensors don’t need batteries like my other watch does , but I personally just find my old gamer easier to edit when reviewing your latest rounds !

Sometime loses the satellite and you have to manually adjust the hole that you are playing

it took me about 10 -20 attempts before it would sync rounds. Once it had the data is really useful
