About Springfield Royal Country Club
A typically tough Jack Nicklaus designed course, Springfield Royal Country Club is one of the best golfing experiences in Hua Hin. Located just off the Hua Hin bypass, a little longer drive out of town than a few of the other courses, the club can be easily reached within 30 minutes from the centre of Hua Hin.
As you would normally get out of a course developed by the famous Jack Nicklaus there are a lot of traps in the shape of bunkers and water hazards strategically positioned to capture that slice or fade off the tee. Springfield Royal Country Club is one of the very best Hua Hin golf courses, and as good as they come.
Springfield included another 9 holes in 2005 developed by the distinguished group of golf course designers Lee Schmidt and Brain Curley. These nine are rather various to the original layout developed by Nicklaus 18 and are most likely more challenging than the original course.
The course at Springfield has certainly been designed to fulfill the high needs of an acknowledged championship golf course, and yet it remains a satisfying obstacle for golfers of all levels. Tee times as Springfield Royal start at 6:00AM with twilight tee offs ending at 15:20PM. Early morning tee times start at THB3800, however, green fees can be as low as THB590 for a tee times after 14:08PM.

Springfield Royal offers outstanding facilities once you leave the course, the clubhouse in its day was world class and despite needing a facelift in some areas, still offers excellent facilities all round. The club house sits in a raised position with some fantastic views over much of the course. Outstanding changing facilities – featuring a bar inside, a well-stocked pro-shop and an outstanding selection of food and drink contributes to the satisfaction of a leisurely round at Springfield. The interior is mainly completed in sleek marble & granite and represents a sensation of opulence associated with grand palaces.
Course Maintenance
Springfield Royal Country Club is a truly mature golf course, some of the holes are wide open and nearly links-style and others wind their course in between the mature trees and local foliage. The owners have really taken care to carry out a design approach that would not only maintain the natural wildlife but also to boost it. As a result you will find more than 100 varieties of birds as you make your way around the course.
Springfield Royal Country Club is worth the extra travel time outside Hua Hin and is a must play for any visiting golfer.
