Chee chan is the newest golf course in the Pattaya area and right from the off it’s very clear that substantial investment has been made to build and design this course to the highest possible standards. The course itself sits in the shadow of the famous Khao Chee Chan Buddha (Buddha Mountain) in the Silverlake area of Na Jomtiem, and provides golfers with spectacular views of the golden Buddha etched into the mountain. A view that will only improve as the course matures over the next few years. Getting to Chee Chan Golf Club from Pattaya takes around 30 mins from downtown.
Chee Chan golf course is an International Championship 18 hole, Par 72 course that is a tough 7,345 yards from the Championship tees and a more leisurely 6,527 yards from the front tees. The course has been developed to satisfy all levels of golfing enthusiast’s needs and low handicap and accomplished players will delight in the extra demands of the playing off the black tees.
The course itself offers a really appealing challenge, with difficult greens, lots of subtle slopes and water dangers entering play on numerous holes. It takes a while to get used to the rate of the greens however they run true and find themselves in exceptional condition. The courses have water hazards aplenty and it’s essential to be conscious of the pitches on some fairways to prevent losing a ball.
