About Pattana Golf Club & Resort
Ideally situated just 45 minutes from Pattaya, near to the neighbouring coastal communities of Bangsaen and Rayong, Pattana Golf Club and Resort is a 27-hole championship golf course and integrated resort spread out across 400 acres of rolling terrain northeast of Pattaya. Hilly fairways, panoramic views of rolling hills, typically windy conditions and beautiful signature holes including a 663 yard par 6 can certainly make it one of the most difficult golf courses in the Pattaya region. The course was named after the creator’s spouse Dr. Pattana Juangroongruangkit, who was an impassioned player.
Each of the three 9-hole courses appropriately named Andreas, Brookei, and Calypso, called because of the cacti located throughout the grounds and course, present players with a variety of stern tests. Each course features more than enough palm trees, water hazards and asymmetrical fairways to challenge players and can be a genuine challenge for many golfers, especially if the wind is blowing on shore form the nearby Gulf of Thailand.
A substantial amount of land was repositioned at Pattana to create elevated greens, turf mounds, and deep sand traps. In addition, like numerous Thai courses water is a strong feature at Pattana. The majority of Pattana greens are rolling true, however a few of the holes have extravagant height changes and have pin placements on the brow of hills.
