About Silky Oak Country Club
Silky Oak Country Club situated near Rayong, about 45 minutes from Central Pattaya, Silky Oak shares the exact same venue and club with the St Andrews 2000 Golf Club and the Rayong Green valley Country Club. Silky Oak is the latest addition to the St Andrews 2000 group and is called after the indigenous Australian trees that line the majority of the fairways. The course is perfect for higher handicappers and offers outstanding value for money. With the sensational surroundings and a stunning style bordering the course, Silky Oak design is a banquet of charm.
Silky Oak Country Club is a basic par-72 design in an excellent setting with breathtaking scenes of the bordering hills from a lot of parts of the course and particularly from the raised position of the midway home. The course has great broad fairways which will accommodate all bar the extremely wayward tee shot. Players will experience some irregular lies and the locations around the small greens have plenty of bumps and hollows which will significantly check your brief game.
Almost half of the holes include carries over water off the tee or on your approach to the green, however, apart from that and the periodic pot bunkers there aren’t excessive amount of challenges to your game as the Silky Oak trees that line the course do not truly enter into play.

Tee times at Silky Oak start at 6:00AM with last tee off being at 14:08PM. Midweek green fees start at a reasonable THB500 for 18 holes, and a weekend round costs just THB700.

Facilities
The clubhouse and other amenities are good enough, keeping in mind the budget price of a round at Silky Oak. The restaurants in the clubhouse are good and the offerings consist of a variety of Western and Asian meals plus a Japanese dining establishment. The halfway homes found on top of the hills have additional unique and breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.
Course Maintenance
Due to its low green fees and beautiful surroundings, Silky Oak can be busy and as a result the fairways and tee areas can be a little patchy due to the high foot traffic on the course.
