About The Emerald Golf Club

Initially developed by Sir Nick Faldo and produced by Dennis Muirhead, the course is 6,628 yards, and lies in Ban Chang around 50 minutes east of Pattaya. Muirhead and Faldo have actually done a fantastic job on the undulating terrain at the Emerald, developing a course with tough and diverse fairways and swelling greens.

Usually, the golf course is well maintained and the caddies at the Emerald understand their job which makes for a satisfying round of golf. The Emerald Golf Course is rather sloping, has Bermuda turf which can be a challenge, it can be an effort to stroll this uneven course so a golf cart is suggested. The greens hold true however and are some of the hardest greens of any course with huge undulations and slopes, making it easy to putt off.

On the whole, the condition of the greens and fairways are excellent and a few of their par 3’s are really enjoyable, striking over valleys up to some difficult greens. The set up at the Emerald will not let you down if you are looking for a satisfying round with good friends.

The clubhouse at the Emerald Golf Course is quite basic and in need of some renovation, but the restaurant, serving Thai favourites and reasonably priced cold beer is ever popular with local golfers. There is also swimming and sauna facilities and a pro shop on site.
