About Ekachai Golf and Country Club Mistral

Opened in 1982, Ekachai Golf and Country Club, is one of Bangkok’s older Golf clubs. The course has a total of 27 holes split over three separate 9 hole courses for golfers to play in any combination they wish. Designed by Mr. Grey Gerry Nazch, the club is located in Samut Sakhon district, about an hour south west of central Bangkok. Although Ekachai Golf and Country Club is not on the same level as some of the more opulent Bangkok Golf Clubs, it does offer good value and is a great stop off for golfers on the way to another of Thailand’s golfing hot spots, Hua Hin.

The relatively flat course is a maximum 6747 yards from the championship tees and provides a reasonable challenge for most players. As with many of the low lying Bangkok clubs, the lack of change in elevation is made up for with many of the greens and fairways flanked by water hazards and ample bunkering. The greens are sometimes slow and can be challenging for players that don’t play at Ekachai regularly. Players should note that the course does not have any carts which can be a problem for less mobile golfers.
