About Green Valley Country Club
One of the older golf clubs in Bangkok, Green Valley Country Club was established in 1988 and is located about a 20 minute drive from Suvanabhumi International Airport or around 45 minutes from downtown Bangkok. The location of the course makes the Green Valley Country Club an ideal stop off for golfers either travelling to Pattaya or to and from the Airport. The course is extremely popular with locals and tourists, often accommodating in excess of 300 golfers per day on weekends, as such pre-booking your round is essential.
One of three Robert Trent Jones II courses in Bangkok; Green Valley Golf Course, despite its name is laid out on reasonably flat terrain that should be fairly enjoyable to walk for most golfers. The nicely contoured and fairly wide fairways are typically lined with small trees as well as plenty of mounds to navigate; large water hazards flank more than a minimum of two-thirds of the holes adding to the overall difficulty of the course. Generally speaking, the course is more suited to lower handicapped players, due to its large undulating greens with trickily placed holes and several difficult par 5’s to navigate.

Green Valley Country Club Tee Times and Green Fees
Tee times at Grren Valley Country Club start at 6:00 AM, and the last tee times start around 14:00 PM. Due to the popularity of the course booking in advance is essential, even on weekdays.
Green Fees are generally higher than the Bangkok average, with prices starting at THB2500 on weekdays and as high as THB4000 for a round at weekends. The club does occasionally run offers for those looking to play the course on several consecutive days, so it may be worth contacting them direct if this is the case for you.
Caddies
The caddies at Green Valley CC are polite and have good knowledge of the course, although most do not speak English.
Facilities
The facilities at Green Valley are a little tired and dated, but despite this, very well designed and beautiful in comparison to some of the other Bangkok courses. In addition to a superb restaurant serving top quality Thai and International cuisine, the clubhouse sports spa, massage, and swimming facilities for those looking to unwind after a round.
Course Maintenance
The course is generally well maintained despite its popularity, the main gripe of golfers visiting this course is the poor course management with many players reporting long waits at holes and long overall round times. That being said, Green Valley is an enjoyable course and is popular for a reason, and is therefore worth a visit at least once for any serious golfer.
