About Navatanee Golf Course
Navatanee Golf Course one of the most special golf courses in the Bangkok area. The course was built in 1973 specifically to host the 23rd World Cup of Golf in 1975, which was won by the UNITED STATES team. Navatanee also hosted Thailands National Open in 1999, in honour of His Majesty, The King of Thailand’s 60th birthday celebration.
The marvelous design was the outcome of the vision of its Founder, Sukum Navapan, being skillfully brought to life by world-renowned Golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr. Who’s philosophy, was to develop a course that was tough for the professional golfers yet offered a satisfying obstacle for golf enthusiasts of more moderate skill. He transformed paddy fields into a 6,902-yard championship course of genuinely global requirements, his very first masterpiece in Asia. This specific course produces a difficult test for skilled golfers but will still provide pleasure for higher handicapped players. It is a charming old parkland course in exceptional condition with lots of mature trees coating the fairways which makes for a nice change from the highly maintained modern-day courses.
The signature bank 6th hole is a challenging 445 yard par-4 that demands a draw-shaped shot from the tee in order to attain the green in requirement. However, with water shielding both the entire left side of the fairway and another lake fronting the green in a sweeping reverse’S’ shape, making par on this hole, not only tough but a noteable achievement!
Navatanee is as near to a private country club experience that you can have in Asia. The play is sub-four hours and quick round times are the standard. Golf carts are mandatory, and caddie pre-booking is only granted for members. The experience is first-rate, and high green costs make Navatanee well matched for those searching for top golf in Bangkok.

The clubhouse at Navatanee Golf Golf club has a superb indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the 9th hole which serves upward some of the best local food in the are as well as a great imported wine selection. Changing and shower facilities have been recently rennovated and are some of the best around. On-course kiosks serve a varied selection of beverages and treats throughout the round. Warm-ups are restricted to the large adding green at the setting up area as there is no driving range.
